Two weeks before we left for France, I applied to the EU Foreign Affairs Ministry for a Digital Covid Certificate, a QR code. I received emails acknowledging our applications and that they were “under construction.” This morning I received emails with Papa and my Digital Covid Certificates, and our QR codes. We used them within hours! Restaurants in France require Covid Certificates and they scan everyone’s QR code. It is much easier to show the QR codes on our phones than getting out our US handwritten Covid cards, and then explaining what they are. We feel official!
