Our next stop was the village of Marsolan. They had a lot more vendors and customers! We saw a friend from Lectoure and her friend, that we met last summer at a dinner in another village. The Gers is the smallest Department in France, so we often see people we know. Marsolan is a pretty hilltop village with a great view of the countryside.
We drove just a few more kilometers to the annual rose sale in La Romieu. There were hundreds of roses for sale, and likely hundreds had already sold by the time we arrived, before lunch. Everyone seemed to be carrying rose bushes, or pulling them in a cart. We had fun!
