We visited our friends Lesley and Andy at their home in Pouy-Roquelaure on Thursday. Pouy-Roquelaure is a tiny village, built in the 1500’s. Lesley and Andy rebuilt their home from the floor to the roof, leaving carved lentils in place and using old beams that had fallen to the floor. It is beautifully crafted and they have a vast view of the countryside. Note the date of 1583 carved into the stone above the doorway to the village.
