I went to Lectoure’s Friday Market to buy fresh fruits and vegetables. Papa went to the gym early, then found me at the market. We had lunch at Le Bar XIII in Lectoure, and it was delicious. We sat next to friends, Yves and Solenge, and chatted back and forth over lunch. We made a reservation for next Friday!
On Friday evening, we invited friends Deirdre, Abby, and Ayse for apéros. We sat on our terrace in the garden for a couple of hours, then went up to the balcony for sunset. It was a nice evening with perfect weather.
We had a lazier day on Saturday, went to the grocery, did laundry, read, hiked, and ran into friends in the evening while out for a walk. A good day!
This morning was clear and there were balloons flying over the Gers River just to the south of us. Always fun to see!
We had 1:00 lunch reservations in Moirax, so we took the back roads and stopped at a church we had not seen before, down a single lane, at the end of the road.
We ate at Auberge du Prieure, the nearest Michelin starred restaurant to us, and always a treat! We sat in the courtyard and had an 8 course, 3 hour Sunday lunch. It was creative and delicious. Afterwards, we went to a concert at Eglise Notre-Dame de Moirax, of Mozart’s music with an orchestra and choral group of 30. There were also Gregorian chants preformed by monks from a nearby monastery. Amazing!
