Yesterday afternoon, we went to friends Rachel and Sid’s country house for lunch. They also invited our friends Lesley and Andy, so it was a reunion! Rachel prepared a delicious meal. We sat in the garden with wine before lunch and with coffee after lunch. We had a wonderful afternoon!
I met my friend Caroline this morning in La Romieu and we went to a plant sale at Corsiana gardens. Caroline bought a few things and I enjoyed walking around the gardens, with spring flowers in bloom. We had coffee together and left before noon.
In La Romieu, I parked next to my friend Annie’s house, so I stopped by for a short visit. She had been at Corsiana gardens but we missed each other. I drove a few miles further to Ferme Cazaux to visit my friend Coralie. She is a farmer and had just sat down for lunch with her partner, Andre, and a butcher, Alan. They invited me to have lunch with them, and how could I refuse roasted pork with potatoes and green beans, vegetable soup, and chocolate mousse for dessert! Our conversation was completely in French, as Coralie, Andre, and Alan don’t speak English. I did my best! I always enjoy time with Coralie!
