Our Monday mornings are busy, always with an hour spent on French before our French teacher, Thanh arrives at 10. I went to the spa with Judy from 2-5, and Papa and I went to Lundi Nuits on Rue Nationale at 7:30. The bandas, Pagayos, from Fleurance played the Coldplay song, “Viva la Vida,” with the whole band smiling and dancing. Everyone at Lundi Nuits takes that song seriously - Live life! And we’re having fun!
We went to the Mardi Marche in Fleurance, and bought lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. There were so many people there! We always enjoy the Fleurance Marche, as it has everything, from fabric to shoes, to kitchen gadgets, freshly made cheeses and wines, clothing, and more, with vendors around the village square, around the cathedral, and up and down the streets leading to both.
We woke up to hot air balloons lifting off from the rugby stadium down the hill from our house, on Wednesday. In the evening, we went to a concert in Jardin des Marrioniers in Lectoure, behind the Mairie and overlooking the country to the south of Lectoure. It is a beautiful spot, under the trees, with the Cathedral as a backdrop. We saw a friend who sat with us. It was a nice evening.
