Ghost Ranch

We hiked the Chimney Rock Trail at Ghost Ranch yesterday morning.  The scenery is spectacular in every direction, with multicolored striated rocks.  After our 3 mile hike, we ate a picnic lunch under the trees at the old ranch headquarters, converted to a Presbyterian Retreat Center in 1955.  Georgia O’Keeffe’s home on Ghost Ranch is still intact and the former home of Robert Wood Johnson is used as the Retreat Library.  It was a good day, punctuated by a very colorful sunset.
