We left home on Friday morning and drove to the Sierra Grande in Truth or Consequences, where we had an afternoon hot springs soak and stayed overnight, with a morning soak, before we hit the road again on Saturday morning, driving north to Abiquiu. Audrey, Lauren and Taylor met us at 2:30 at Bode’s General Store and we caravanned to our house rental overlooking Abiquiu Lake. We spent a couple of hours putting away groceries and exploring around the house.
This morning after breakfast, we hiked down the canyon next to our house, to the lake. It was a longer hike than we expected. Dale and the girls skipped rocks on the lake. It was a beautiful day.
