Sunrise over the Grand Canyon

We were on the rim of the Canyon on Saturday morning by 6:45, ready for sunrise at 7:05.  The light was spectacular over the next two hours and we walked along the South Rim in awe.  The colors of the Grand Canyon are a bit different from minute to minute.  Just beautiful!  Hilde and Filiep walked down the Bright Angel Trail a bit.  They enjoyed every moment.

We left the Canyon and started driving south by 9:30.  We stopped for lunch at the Hermosa Inn in Phoenix, with Claire and Colby joining us.  Longtime friends, Bob and Paige, who live in Rancho Santa Fe, California, were at the restaurant too, so we had a mini reunion.  Then we drove home, arriving in Tucson by 5 pm.  A good day!
