We had lunch in downtown Colorado Springs and drove past the Olympic Training Center on our way to the airport to fly back to Arizona. We had a wonderful weekend with Colby! Loved every moment!

Last Day in Colorado Springs
We had breakfast once more in Restaurant Del Lago. Each of us had our favorite dish and breakfast felt very familiar, as we have talked to so many of the wait staff over the past three days. After breakfast, we went back to our hotel room and packed. We left the hotel by 10:30 and drove north to the Air Force Academy. We went to the Visitor Center, then walked around the area of campus open to visitors. It is in a beautiful setting, at 6000’ in the foothills of much larger mountains.
