We drove from Lectoure to San Sebastián this morning, in about 3.5 hours. We arrived at noon. We walked along the waterfront, past City Hall, and visited Iglesia San Vicente, built in the 1400’s - 1500’s, with a beautiful carved baroque main altarpiece. We had a delicious lunch at Asador Aldonado, and checked into our hotel around 3:30. Later, we walked along the waterfront again, enjoying a National Geographic sponsored photography exhibition, listening to various live music performances and a marionette show. We visited Cathedral of Good Shepherd and Iglesia del Sagrada del Corazon. We walked through parks and enjoyed the pedestrian only streets. The weather was beautiful. We had a wonderful day!
