On Thursday, we met Caroline and Glyn at La Bastide Restaurant, in Cauzabon, about an hour and fifteen minutes west of Lectoure. Lunch was delicious and we talked until 3:00, always a lot to chat about!
After lunch, we drove about 20 minutes south to the village of Panjas, to see Église Saint-Laurent, built in the 11th century. The choir is Romanesque with murals dating from the 11th-13th centuries. The back part of the eglise is Gothic, likely in the 15th century. The murals were freshened in the late 1800's. They are absolutely incredible! I arranged our visit with the eglise caretaker, so we were the only visitors.
