Our French maison continues to evolve. We finished a bathroom over this past week, and had a new bed frame delivered. We hung a mirror over the fireplace in our master bedroom. We purchased a nightstand and a side table at a vide grenier today. We have pillows on order, along with a mattress and lamp shades. After the new things arrive, I will rearrange things a bit. I took these photos this afternoon. I will update when more items arrive, and after Papa builds the new mantel for the library, and I paint the service stairwell. We continue to have projects to complete!
We are enjoying the house, our street, new friends, and the village, with its myriad activities. There has been a blues festival going all weekend, in Place de Marronnier, a block from our house, and I’m listening to the music as I write this. The Photographie Festival started yesterday - and we are looking forward to visiting the various locations, all within two blocks of our house. Our maison location is so close to the cathedral, the mairie, and the large parks in the village, that it is easy for us to enjoy village activities. Time passes so quickly, we feel as if “so much to do and so little time!”
