Papa and I went to the house this morning with a list of things to do. Soon after we arrived, flooring guys showed up to look at two bedrooms and a hallway. They offered to take some things to the decheterie (waste disposal) for us. We marked one chore off our list. Another painter looked at two things in the kitchen - a broken pane of glass in a door and the front of the fireplace, in need of a new coat of finish. He told us he was taking care of all of it! More things marked off our list! So we stopped at the grocery to pick up a few things, had a light lunch of cheese, baguette, and apples, and spent an hour and a half on the phone with utility companies, working out details. Our friends, Jean and Don arrived at our hotel at 3. We sat in the salon until 7, chatting away over coffee cremas. The Pyrenees were visible from the salon at our house today - covered in snow. We had a good day!
