Mother’s Day Tea

Papa drove me to Phoenix yesterday morning, so I could have Mother’s Day Tea with Colby in his classroom.  Claire was traveling, so I happily went in her place.  Colby’s first grade class greeted their mothers with colorful tissue paper corsages, then they sang songs, recited poetry, and sat on mother’s laps while enjoying cookies, strawberries, and tea.  The classroom walls were filled with artwork each child had made, plus there were gifts for mothers... an 18” x 24” painting, a colored “bouquet” of flowers, a box “filled with love”, and more.  It was all adorable and I loved it!

Papa and I had lunch with Emerson and Colby in their school lunch room, before returning home.  A fun day!
