Yesterday was Mary’s birthday, and we were in Phoenix for an appointment for Papa on Friday, at Mayo Clinic, so we met at Lon’s for brunch. Claire joined us and we ate outside on the patio under the trees. Lon’s is a well known restaurant in Paradise Valley/Phoenix, located in the Hermosa Inn. The Hermosa Inn evolved from a one room studio of cowboy artist Lon Megargee in the 1930’s, to a guest ranch, and today an upscale inn, that happens to be a block from Claire’s house. We enjoyed a two hour brunch, talking away, and happy to celebrate Mary’s birthday.
