Pontatoc Ridge Hike

Papa had two eye surgeries in January, on the 7th and 21st.  Both surgeries went well, but Papa had a bad reaction to one prescription eye medication in his left eye.  He is still recovering, with the vision in his left eye somewhat cloudy, and the right eye doing well.  We were slowed down about ten days, but are back to hiking and our usual schedule.

We hiked the Pontatoc Ridge Trail this morning.  It is an offshoot of the Finger Rock Trail, with the end of the hike on a rock outcropping, overlooking the entire city of Tucson and all the surrounding mountains.  We hiked under clear blue skies and temperature in the 50's to low 60's. We stopped for a snack and watched a hawk circling.  The creek was running and the cacti were thick and lush.
