We have been working with Jose over the past several months, after meeting him at the Boys and Girls Club last September. Jose is a junior with a 3.94 GPA and he wants to major in engineering in college. Jose will need financial assistance to go to college, so we've been helping him plan for college applications and scholarship applications. Yesterday we took him to meet with our good friend, David, guidance counselor extraordinaire! David did not disappoint, and helped Jose sign up for a scholarship program, entered his personal information so that he will be contacted by elite universities looking for students with Jose's profile, and told him about several other programs. Jose has a follow up appointment with David in a few weeks. All good!
