The King and I

On Sunday afternoon, we went to Centennial Hall on the UA campus to watch The King and I.  It was the 2015 Tony Award winner for Best Musical Revival. The Rodgers & Hammerstein classic is set in 1860’s Bangkok. It tells the story of the relationship that develops between the King of Siam and the British schoolteacher he brought in to teach his many wives and children.  We enjoyed every moment!

"The King and I was part of the 2017-18 season of UA Presents.  Broadway in Tucson/A Nederlander Presentation is part of the nationally recognized Nederlander Producing Company of America.   Broadway in Tucson’s debut season opened in September 2004, and since that first season, Broadway in Tucson has brought more than 425,000 Southern Arizonans to Tucson again, with crowd-pleasing events like Chicago, Evita, Riverdance, Avenue Q, Mamma Mia! and Disney’s High School Musical.
