Over the past month, since I wrote here about helping Yadi, she has appealed and been accepted into the AZAssurance Scholarship Program, and also enrolled in the New Start program, a summer program for incoming freshmen. We've spent many hours texting and emailing, helping her complete several documents. Yadi came for lunch with us yesterday, with this beautiful bouquet of flowers from her parents. I love the roses! It has been a joy to work with Yadi as she begins the next stage of her life, in college!
