We went to First Thursday at TMA for the second month in a row. We particularly enjoyed the new exhibit, "The West Observed: The Art of Howard Post." Howard Post is a living artist, an Arizonan, a cowboy. His work focuses on cowboys, corrals, horses, cows, pastures, and Western landscapes.
I also love this piece, in TMA's permanent collection, by Ed Mell, of an Arizona sunset.
While at TMA, we watched a preview of the new PBS special, Civilizations, produced by BBC, and premiering on April 17. It will be fascinating!
