In Albuquerque

We started this week in San Antonio, visiting Lynne.  We enjoyed most of Tuesday with her, having with friends of hers joining us for lunch and dinner.  

On Wednesday, we flew to Albuquerque, to visit Audrey’s family.  Wednesday was Audrey’s 42nd birthday.  We went out for dinner at a favorite restaurant.  We have shopped for her house, played games with the girls, and enjoyed time just hanging out.  We woke up to a light snow this morning.  Audrey and I walked in her neighborhood.

Grandchildren’s Weekend

Claire arrived late afternoon on Friday, with Emerson and Colby.  I made Emerson and Colby’s requested dinner - steak with baked potatoes, roasted broccoli, plate of raw vegetables, and chocolate chess pie.  It was a hearty dinner!  We played several rounds of Skye Jo before getting ready for bed. 

The primary reason for their visit was that Emerson’s ice hockey team had two games today in Tucson.  We attended both games, one at 10 and the other at 3, wearing many layers of sweaters, jackets, and hats.  We enjoyed seeing Emerson play.  We came home between the games and had pizza for lunch.  Claire and I went on a walk after lunch, while Emerson rested for her second game.  We had a fun day and a fun weekend!

Anniversary 43

Another anniversary to celebrate!  Papa and I have much to be grateful for!  The year just past, 2023, was one of our most fun and memorable years.  We enjoyed seeing all four of our children together at a family gathering in Phoenix in March, and three of the four together for Thanksgiving in Tucson, along with grandchildren each time.  We had a wonderful six months in France, with friends and neighbors, enjoying the cultural activities of our ville, Lectoure, and the Gers.  We are very happy after 43 years together!
