Daily Walk

My good friend and neighbor, Ornella and I meet every day to walk.  We walk about four miles every morning, up and down the foothills around our neighborhood.  Yesterday, we walked to the top of Campbell Avenue and had a beautiful view of the city below, with a blooming saguaro nearby.  Love Tucson!

In Our Living Room

We have spent more time in our living room in the past six weeks than ever before!  Our living room is filled with many of our favorite things... photos, art, blankets bought in Ecuador, seashells picked up on beaches in the Bahamas and Florida, rocks collected from our ranch, Papa’s handmade saddles, gifts - a large basket depicting saguaro fruit harvesting, a carved wood figure from Cameroon, handmade spurs and a riata, and so much more.  We are also enjoying our living room views of the Santa Catalina Mountains.  It’s a good place to spend time while social distancing during this pandemic.

Blooming Cacti

There are more and more cacti blooms in our yard each day.  Their colors are vibrant and their petals are delicate.  They are absolutely beautiful!

Changing Desert

I walk about four miles every day, in and around our neighborhood in the foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains.  The desert is ever changing.  These are scenes from the neighborhood over the past couple of days.  It’s always beautiful to me.

Orange Blooms

These beautiful blooms are on our orange blooming prickly pear in our back yard.  They are gorgeous!

Easter Concert

Happy Spring!

During the most unusual time we can remember, we have beautiful pink blossoms in our front yard - a reminder of the beauty of the earth.  We wish you a happy spring!  

Bougainvillea

The bougainvillea blooming in our downstairs patio (off our office) is loaded with flowers.  Beautiful!

Virtual Concert

We watched a virtual guitar concert on Friday evening, featuring our favorite guitarist, Misael Barraza-Diaz, plus Edwin Guevara-Gutierrez, and tenor Carlos Zapien.  The concert was all Latin American music and was beautiful!  It was a treat for us, as we are self isolated at home.

Road Runner

This road runner jumped up on our garden wall while we were eating lunch, to show us his catch... a lizard.
