Vide Grenier in Castera Lectourois

Papa and I went to two vide greniers today, first one in Saint-Clar, where we met our friends Caroline and Glyn for coffee, and I found a pretty white cream pitcher.  We then drove to Castera Lectourois, tiny village on a ridge top.  By the time we arrived, it was 1:00 and we were hungry, so we bought two tickets for the fete lunch.  It was a feast of pork slices roasted on a spit, crispy roasted potatoes, fresh green beans,  Niçoise salad, freshly baked bread, and big slices of strawberry shortcake.  Because we’re in France, lunch came with wine and there was coffee with dessert.  After lunch we shopped the vide grenier, down the only street in Castera Lectourois.  We chatted with a man we met last September during Journées  Européennes du Patrimoine.  In September, he gave us a tour of the village Eglise, built in the 15th century.  Today, he gave us a tour of his garden, brimming with flowers and a beautiful view of the countryside.  I bought two small marble vases for our salon mantle.  A good day!
