Europe is in the midst of a record heat wave, and we are in Europe. It was 104 today! Fortunately, the morning was quite cool, in the 50’s. After breakfast, we drove to Sarlat, for their weekly gourmet food market. The city was teeming with people shopping, buying, and selling food. We walked all about the market and through the public park. We enjoyed a leisurely lunch at Chez la Gaulois. Afterward, we came back to Par la Rivière and spent a couple of hours cooling off in the pool, watching kayaks and canoes float by on the Dordogne River.
