We drove across the northern part of Mallorca, to the eastern coast. Our first stop was at Cuevas de Artá. The caves are located on the coast, surrounded by mountains towering over the sea. The stalactites were extraordinary, and the “rooms” large. Cuevas de Arta impressed us!
We went to Capdepera, a hilltown near the coast, crowned by castle walls, and a tower dating to the Arab occupation dating to 700 AD. The views from the castle were beautiful. We had a delicious lunch of fresh fish in Capdepera.
Next up was a visit to Cala Mesquida, with its wide white sand beach, and turquoise Mediterranean Sea. Stunning! We stayed a few hours while Lauren and Taylor played. We had a nice day!
