The University of Arizona is bustling this weekend, as it hosts the 10th annual Festival of Books under cloudy skies. We went yesterday afternoon and enjoyed celebrating reading and learning with tens of thousands of others. Book vendors were selling books from their tents and from push carts. We enjoyed watching a Navaho woman weaving, a family circus, having kettle corn as we enjoyed the Tucson High School Mariachi Band, seeing kids rock climb, walking through Science City and learning about everything from science as art to diet and food to changing a landscape with water and more! We explored the Western National Parks tent and listened to a presentation about Navaho rugs. We wished we had arrived earlier to listen to author presentations, but we had a wonderful afternoon!
