I went for a hair cut this afternoon, at Salon Salon, in the old Tucson Train Depot. My hairdresser moved to the space a couple of years ago. I love going downtown these days! The Depot has been totally revamped, with Amtrak still making regular stops, Maynard's Restaurant and Market, Salon Salon, and a Transportation Museum in the old space. We had lunch at Maynard's Market.
After lunch, we drove over to the University campus and went to the Museum of Art. Our primary purpose was to see the exhibit, The American West: The Myth and the Mirror, with art from the UA Museum's own collection. We enjoyed seeing works by Maynard Dixon, Peter Hurd, Frederic Remington, Georgia O'Keefe, Norman Rockwell, Andy Warhol, Jackson Pollock, and so many more.
