We invited four couples for dinner on Wednesday evening. We had a progressive dinner, so we set off in light rain with umbrellas when everyone arrived, for the Hotel Collégiale dès Doctrinaires for wine and cheese and nuts.
We came home for soup and salad in our breakfast room, and we went down to the garden room for dessert, where we celebrated our friend Jay’s 80th birthday. Along the way, we played a short game of questions that had us all thinking. We had a very nice evening.
