Engineering Design Day is an annual event that showcases the year long design work of UA engineering seniors. More than 500 students from the College of Engineering, the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, and the College of Optical Sciences displayed real projects, sponsored by local and national companies. The projects were evaluated by over 100 professional engineers and cash prizes were awarded. Upstairs of the Student Union was filled with projects and it spilled onto the mall. We were inspired by the projects and the effort spent on each one. We particularly liked the solar powered car, various robots, and a remote system of checking ranch water.
