We flew into Merida just after 7 this evening. We took a taxi to our hotel in the center of the historic district. We checked into our hotel, and within minutes Audrey and her family knocked on our door, ready to go for dinner. We ate dinner at Museo de la Gastronimia Yucateca, enjoying several local specialities. Afterward, we walked around several blocks of the old city, with beautifully lit cathedrals, parks, museums, and theaters. We’ll explore more tomorrow!
