Papa finished our yard cleanup. I am feeling much better. We were ready for fun this weekend!
We enjoyed dinner with friends and friends of friends on Friday evening at a neighbor’s home. We talked for hours. On Saturday, we met our Boys and Girls Club kids at UA’s Center for Creative Photography, to see the Ansel Adam’s exhibit. None of the four kids that joined us had been to CCP before, so it was fun for us to introduce them. We had lunch at The Dutch, across from UA’s Main Gate. After lunch, Rudy, one of our kids and a UA architecture student, invited us on a tour of the architecture building. It was so interesting!
Last evening, Sunday, we were invited to a UA Foundation Reception and Itzhak Perlman concert in Centennial Hall. We met several people and particularly enjoyed talking with a couple from Philadelphia, formerly a UA Medical School Professor, who had also lived in our old Dallas neighborhood, and taught at UT Southwestern. The Perlman concert was beautiful. He is the best violinist on earth, has a great sense of humor, and was generous with his time. He played more pieces in encore than he played in the program. He was clearly having fun and we enjoyed every moment!
