We had a full morning of driving from the foothills of Mt. Etna to Agrigento, in the center of the southern coast of Sicily, to visit Valley of the Temples. They are an impressive site, with eight Greek temples, built between 510 BC and 430 BC, on a single ridge top overlooking the sea, with the city of Agrigento above the ridge on the opposite side. We walked 5+ miles up the ridge and back, checking out the temples and other ruins. Emerson and Colby were real troopers, finding bits of shade along the way.
