We drove to Phoenix yesterday afternoon and stayed overnight, so we could get to a 7:15 a.m. breakfast at the Talking Stick Arena. The breakfast was to honor the Boys & Girls Clubs of Arizona, 2017 Youths of the Year. Karla, one of our BGC kids, was representing Tucson. Last year's statewide winner was also one of our BGC kids, Paola. Paola was the emcee for this morning's breakfast program, which included a Native American hoop dance. Karla spoke and did a terrific job. We were so proud of both of them! After the the YOY breakfast, the Tucson BGC group went to Lola's Restaurant for another breakfast. We had a great time!
