Last week was a good week for us! We had apéros last Sunday with neighbors, Carolyn and Franz. On Tuesday, I walked with a friend, Bea, while Dale had coffee with Nelson. We went to a party in the evening at Chateau de Puissentut, about 30 minutes from Lectoure. The party was a celebration of the previous week, by a visiting group of women participating in a cooking school. Our friend, Kate, assisted with planning for the weeklong event. Several of the women visited our house when they came to Lectoure's Friday market. It was a nice evening, with good food and wine. We had lunch with a recently widowed friend on Wednesday. We had friends for coffee on Thursday morning, then lunch with an American couple that has moved full time to Lectoure. We took friends, Judy and Laurence to lunch in Condom on Friday. Laurence is moving to Paris in a few weeks and we will miss her. On Friday evening we went for dinner at a new restaurant in Lectoure, O Badiu, with our friends Hilde and Filiep, and it was excellent. On Saturday morning, Caroline came for coffee at 10. That evening, we hosted Deirdre and her friends Susan and Wayne, from South Africa, for aperitifs. It was an interesting evening. Every day is a good day!
