We arrived in Tucson late Friday night. We had light rain on Saturday and Sunday, often with clouds covering the mountains. Our rain gauge indicates rainfall so far in 2026 is 2X the historic average for Tucson. The desert is green, the saguaros are plumped up, and the birds are very happy.
Papa and I have a bit of jet lag, so we are slowly getting back into the swing of things. We are doing house chores, pulling patio chairs out of storage, grocery shopping, and spending time at our breakfast table enjoying our view of the mountains. We’ll get to tree trimming and yard cleanup later!
