Our first planned stop of our cruise, up the east coast of Australia from Sydney, was at Mooloolaba Harbor. When we arrived yesterday morning, the sea was quite rough and the ship captain was not comfortable to stay there, so we spent the day at sea.
Our great disappointment about our day at sea vs. day on land, was that we had planned for months to spend the day with our friend Cathy, who lives on the Gold Coast, and had offered to show us her favorite places. Cathy is the niece of our Lectoure neighbors and friends, Alice and Gerard, and visits them every other summer. We have shared many special moments together in Lectoure, and were looking forward to the day together.
Even at sea, we fill our days with interesting conversations, learning via speaker series, great meals, time in the fitness center, reading… We watched the sunset last evening and had the rare treat of seeing a green flash! Amazing!
