While on my morning walk Tuesday morning, I passed a man walking his dog that I see often. He told me there was à montgolfière just ahead. I was on the path around the Chateau de Armagnac and there it was, hovering over the old chateau! As I continued my walk, the montgolfière flew east over Lectoure and I continued taking photos. A nice start to my day!

So much to do and so little time…
With just two weeks left before we leave the Gers this year, we are in full on “GO MODE.” We are preparing the house and garden for winter. I cut all the remaining grapes from our terrace vine. Last Thursday afternoon, we met our friend Abby at the cinema in Fleurance to watch Downton Abbey. On Friday and Saturday, I helped my friend Annie at her vide maison. She is preparing to move to a much smaller home in Paris, so was selling everything in her house.
On Saturday evening, Papa and I went to the cinema in Lectoure to watch Sale’ et Sucre’, meeting friends there and we all went for dinner after the film, at L’Atelier D’Auria. On Sunday, we had friends, Caroline and Glyn for lunch. On Monday morning, I picked figs in the Bechetoille’s garden. We had apéros with Annie in La Romieu in the evening and went together for dinner to L’Etape d’Angeline.
We drove to Toulouse on Tuesday, for lunch at Restaurant Une Table à Deux, with our friend Rebecca, and we went to a museum after. On Thursday morning, my friend that works for the Mairie, came by our house to pick up a box of drinks - my annual thank you to Lectoure’s garden crew. In the afternoon, I went for tea at Judy’s house, near Blaziert, with Deirdre, Abby, and Laurence too. Afternoon tea with scones and clotted cream, tea sandwiches, and cake was decadent!
